How to enjoy the outdoors before winter …
Our Wellington centre’s classes are making the most of the late autumn sun – they’re visiting local gardens and parks.
Their ESOL Intensive class learners worked hard weeding out noxious plants and clearing seedlings in Wellington’s Central Park. A member of the local volunteer restoration group helped to guide them through the process. The class loved their day and spoke very highly of the volunteer’s hospitality and knowledge. The Central Park trip was a favourite out-of-class activity, and they can’t wait to do it again.
The Kilbirnie English Language Group class also toured the Kilbirnie Community Garden and learnt about how they can get more involved.
