Porirua learners succeed in NZ Certificate in English Language

NZCEL

Congratulations and well done to all our NZCEL learners

All our Porirua students in Level 1 and Level 2 NZCEL courses have achieved their NZQA certificate in module one this year. Most from Level 1 are now doing Level 2, while one person has gone onto fulltime employment.

All students who completed Level 2 have moved on to Whitireia for further study. Some will study English language, and some go straight into career-based courses. The classes are full-time and require a fair amount of determination as there is also a 14-hour per week independent learning component.

Aside from the certificate, the fact that classes are for 20 hours per week means we witness progress in the learners beyond their assessments: purely through seeing their interactions with the team and with each other.  Seeing such strong cross-cultural friendships and such confidence in the learners is a real highlight of these classes. It provides enormous confidence for us in the ability of these learners to settle successfully into Kiwi life, study and work.

This is some text inside of a div block.
