You can learn online with English Language Partners if you:

  • live in New Zealand
  • are a New Zealand resident visa holder or citizen
  • speak English as a second language
  • are 16 years or older and not attending school

All of our online classes are FREE for New Zealand resident visa holders.

This course is available at 4 levels: elementary, pre-intermediate, intermediate and upper-intermediate. Please see class dates and times below.

Yeah nah’, ‘sweet as’..... Is it difficult to understand Kiwis? Do you want to 'have a yarn' with someone, but not sure what that means? In this online course, you can learn how to communicate the Kiwi way. Improve your listening and speaking skills, become more confident and learn new words and phrases. We will practice listening to Kiwi accents and have conversations about topical issues. This course will use a range of authentic listening material; e.g., YouTube videos, clips from NZ TV shows and news clips. Each week you will need to do at least 30 minutes of guided self-study.

Our online Reading and Writing course will help you to: 

  • read and understand a range of everyday texts
  •  find the most important information in the text quickly
  • write more by practising writing emails, texts, online posts and letters
  • understand when to use formal and informal language
  • notice the areas of grammar, punctuation and vocabulary you need to improve

In addition to 1.5 hours on Zoom, you can expect to do another hour of guided self-study each week.
