Being a home tutor is such an honour

I have the pleasure of being the home tutor for a new Syrian family in Porirua. What a joy it is spending time with this warm, entertaining and beautiful family. Thursday afternoons are now the highlight of my week with the majority of our hour and a half together spent in fits of laughter, eating beautiful food Manal has prepared and gossiping (a lot of language learning is involved in all three of these activities).

I also enjoyed being able to assist Jihad in obtaining employment in his field of painting. The whole family have made me feel a part of theirs! Being a home tutor is such an honour”
