We offer an "English for Employees" class in some towns. This helps people with skills for communicating at work. It is open to permanent residents who are working  - either full-time, part-time  seasonally or in their own business.

The English for Migrants (EFM) programme is an intensive tutoring course from a trained teacher for those who have paid funds to the New Zealand Immigration Service.

Social gatherings

Tutors and learners of English meet regularly for coffee and tea or for lunch.

These are times to

  • Eat and drink together
  • Meet new people
  • Practise English in a friendly place

A list of dates and venues is available from the coordinator.

Training for volunteer tutors This course leads to a Certificate in ESOL Home Tutoring (approved by NZQA).
