Special programmes
We offer an "English for Employees" class in some towns. This helps people with skills for communicating at work. It is open to permanent residents who are working - either full-time, part-time seasonally or in their own business.
The English for Migrants (EFM) programme is an intensive tutoring course from a trained teacher for those who have paid funds to the New Zealand Immigration Service.
Social gatherings
Tutors and learners of English meet regularly for coffee and tea or for lunch.

Training for volunteer tutors This course leads to a Certificate in ESOL Home Tutoring (approved by NZQA).
Courses for 2010
Course one dates: 4th February - 1st April from 9.15am - 11.45am at the Kapiti Community Centre, Ngahina St, Paraparaumu.
Course two dates: Our next home tutor training will be in Otaki running from 9.15 - 11.45am on the following mornings: Monday 14th, Tuesdays 22nd and 29th of June, Monday 5th, Tuesdays 13th, 20th and 27th of July, Monday 2nd and Tuesday 10th of July. The tenth session will be held at a mutually convenient time later in the year

How much?
There is no cost for permanent residents to use our service.
People without permanent residence who have individual tutoring or belong to an Everyday English group will be asked each term (1 term = 10 weeks) for a contribution to help pay for resources.
